How this tool works
The converter uses the Umm al-Qura calendar built into your browser, the official calendar of Saudi Arabia. Gregorian dates are converted directly. For Hijri dates, the tool finds the Gregorian day that matches the day, month and year you enter. It supports Hijri years 1343 to 1500 (about 1924 to 2077). No information is intentionally sent to ToolTama by this tool.

Frequently asked questions
Which Hijri calendar does it use?
It uses the Umm al-Qura calendar, which Saudi Arabia uses for official dates. Other countries may use different Hijri calculations, so a date can differ by a day.
Will the result match the start of Ramadan or Eid?
Not always. Religious dates such as the start of Ramadan and Eid are confirmed by moon sighting, which can differ by a day from the Umm al-Qura calendar. Follow the official announcement for those dates.
Why does a Hijri month have 29 or 30 days?
Hijri months follow the lunar cycle, so each month has 29 or 30 days. If you enter day 30 for a 29-day month, the tool tells you that day does not exist.
Which years are supported?
Hijri years 1343 to 1500, which covers roughly 1924 to 2077. That range covers birth dates, contracts, IDs and most official documents.
