How this tool works
An IBAN starts with a country code and two check digits. The tool removes spaces, checks that the length matches the country, then runs the standard ISO 13616 mod-97 check. A valid result means the IBAN is well formed; it does not confirm that the account exists or who owns it. No information is intentionally sent to ToolTama by this tool.

Does a valid result mean the account exists?
No. The tool checks the format and the check digits only. It cannot see bank records, so it cannot confirm that the account is open or who holds it. Confirm the beneficiary name with your bank before you send money.
How long is a Saudi IBAN?
A Saudi IBAN has 24 characters and starts with SA. A UAE IBAN has 23 characters and starts with AE. A Jordanian IBAN has 30 characters and starts with JO.
What does the checksum catch?
The mod-97 check catches almost all single mistyped characters and most swapped neighbouring characters, which are the most common copying mistakes.
Which countries are supported?
79 countries that use IBAN, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, the UK and EU countries.
