How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Select a PNG file, set the JPEG quality (85% suits most photos) and choose Process image. The JPG downloads with the same file name and a .jpg extension.
What happens to the transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. If you need to keep transparency, keep the PNG or convert it to WebP.
Is JPG smaller than PNG?
For photos, usually yes, often several times smaller. For screenshots, logos and flat graphics, PNG can be smaller and sharper, so compare both before you publish.
Is PNG to JPEG the same as PNG to JPG?
Yes. JPG and JPEG are the same format with two spellings of the file extension.
