Frequently asked questions
Does this change my image?
No. The checker reads dimensions and basic file information; it does not modify or export the image.
Is Image Dimensions Checker free?
Yes. This public tool does not require an account, payment or subscription.
Where is my input processed?
The tool-specific processing runs in your browser. Website delivery still involves hosting requests; see the privacy policy for details. Read the privacy policy.
How do I find the resolution of an image?
Select the image and choose Process image. You get the width and height in pixels, the aspect ratio, the file size and the file type.
What is the difference between dimensions and file size?
Dimensions are the number of pixels (for example 1920 × 1080). File size is how much storage the file uses (for example 450 KB). A big image in pixels can still be small in KB if it is well compressed.
Does it read the photo’s location or camera data?
No. The tool only reads the size and type. It does not read or display EXIF metadata such as GPS location.
Why use this tool
Check image width and height before you upload
Upload forms, ad platforms and website themes often reject images with the wrong size. Checking the exact pixel dimensions and file size first saves failed uploads and blurry results.

Next step: wrong size? Resize image to exact pixels. Too heavy? Use the image compressor. Need to convert sizes in KB and MB? Try the file size converter.
